Reference

Design Standard

  • API 600
  • API 6D
  • ASME B16.34
  • BS 6364
  • API 598
  • ISO 5208

Design Features

  • Seat and clack sealing faces hard-faced with alloy for erosion resistance and service life
  • Parts exposed to ≤-101°C are subzero treated to prevent deformation at ultra-low temperatures
  • Rising stem gives a clear visual indication of valve position
  • Stem threads isolated from the process medium to reduce corrosion
  • Wedge resilient, self-sealing double-plate, or stretching double-plate designs available
  • Can meet the Class A sealing test requirements of ISO 15848 FE

High-Pressure Pneumatic Shell Test

For all cast steel gate, globe, and check valves, as well as cast trunnion and floating ball valves, RANGER-FZV submerges the completed, uncoated valve in water and pressure tests the casting with nitrogen or compressed air. Pinholes or casting deficits invisible to a standard hydrotest are revealed as bubbles in the water — castings have failed this test after passing hydrotest.
